Essay 1 Final Draft:
*Below is a refresher of the prompt*
ANALYSIS: Communication today is more explosive and available than ever before. We have instant news, blogs, YouTube, and Social Media along with more traditional forms of communication. All of these opportunities enable people to express themselves in many different ways. Even with this, most people would not consider themselves authors; however, that is not necessarily true. Analyze the following items in your essay:
The concept of how everyone (including yourself) is an author
How this has affected communication
How this has affected our society as a whole.
Essay 1 Requirements –
Page Length: 3.5 pages in length. This does not include your title, abstract, or bibliography pages. Your page count begins when your introductory paragraph starts and should reach at least the bottom of the third page of your essay. In total, your final submission should include no less than 5 pages. Points will be deducted for not meeting assignment requirements.
APA Formatting: Must be in the correct APA format. See template (Please note the template is for a shorter essay. You will need to make sure yours meets the assignment length requirements). *PLEASE NOTE THAT APA IS VERY SIMILAR TO MLA. You will write your essay just like you would an MLA paper. The difference for this assignment will only be in the format of the title page and the abstract which we will talk about in class.
Abstract: For this assignment, your abstract should be a 2-4 sentence summary of your overall paper. See the sample paper below.
Outside Sources: You are not being asked to use outside sources for this assignment; however, if you do make sure you properly punctuate and cite them including a Bibliography page at the end.
Final draft due: February 1 by midnight.
